I don’t remember, hooray! I used to average about once every year or two, but one day I heard that driving 55-60 saves on gasoline, and cheapskate that I am, I haven’t gone the speed limit since! Well, not very often. So I’d say it’s been about 4-5 years since I got pulled over last.

I got pulled over about 15 years ago because I had forgotten to get my car inspected. I didn’t get a ticket though. About 30 years ago I got pulled over for speeding 45 in a 35mph zone. I knew the cop and he told me not to do it again or he would tell my dad who lived across the street from him. Love small towns.

Three years ago. I was leaving Costco. The light was red. I stopped. I looked to the left. I could make a right turn, the cars were in the distance on my left. Out of the blue comes the patrol!!! He gave me a ticket because he said I went too slow on the right turn and he had to avoid hitting me! I told him that if he were driving the speed limit, we would have not had this problem! He looked at me and gave me a ticket!!!! First one in 20 years! I told him he was ruining my perfect record. He didn’t care!!!! Bad man!! 😦

About two years ago. I was going to meet some work buddies up at the bar but they wheren’t there so I went home. The second the cop passed me he wipped a u-turn and hit the lights. Then he said do you know why I stopped you, I said umm my window tint. He says no but it does look very dark. He stopped me because I had no lights on my licsense plate in the back. I just told him that I don’t check them often. He just told me to fix it, and as far as the tint he didn’t have anything to check it with. wheew, thank god I didn’t go to the bar. I have been pulled over about 10 times and I haven’t got a ticket yet. “Knocking on wood” The thing with cops is DON’T LIE TO THEM” they really respect the truth. The cop asked me if I knew my tint level and I said way illegal. He just laughed and said you may want to tone it down if you start getting harrassed.

Just last week! I was going 54 in a 40. I received a $150 and I qualified for the “safe driver” the option so it won’t go on my record. Thank goodness!

1993 and I got a speeding ticket. It’s the only ticket I’ve ever gotten and I really deserved it. I was driving and talking and doing both way to fast.

  7. SKL says:

I remember when my mom got her first and only speeding ticket. She was SO ANGRY! LOL!

I think everyone ought to get at least one. Otherwise they go around tsk-tsking the rest of us every time we get one, like we aren’t already ticked enough at the outrageous fines . . . .

Five years ago was the last time. I was doing an 8 hour drive and was just ready to get home so I put the pedal to the metal so to speak. He clocked me at 82 in a 65mph zone. When he walked up to the car I started crying really hard and I gave him the joint I had in the ashtray so he let me go with a warning. 😀

I was kidding about the joint. 😉

In the middle 80s i got so many speeding tickets,I actually lost my license for a year.I had to rewite my test and redo the driving test too.I waas good for almost 20 years. Then in2005 I got a ticket for not coming to a complete stop at a stop sign. And a few months later I got s speeding ticket for going 90km in a 70km zone.I did talk my way out of the firsy one at the court, which I appealed.I won that one.I tried on the second, but the guy remembered me and said he would not grant it a second time.So I had to pay over $200.00 for that one.Its been 4 years and I have been good.I LOVE the feel of driving fast, its a problem for me.So glad they have cruise controls now.If I forget to set it I catch myself doing 120km in a 100km zone.

Last year a little past May for not taking off our studded snow tires. A motorcycle cop was behind us on dry road and could hear the click click of the studs. That reminds me we need to deal with that before the season ends. Thanks for the reminder.LOL

I have a friend who has had her license suspended 3 times, mostly for speeding citations. She continues to speed. Apparently saving that minute or two is worth the risk to her.

My husband and I were driving home this past christmas from a gathering .We had a 2 hour drive ahead of us and we had literally just turned out onto the hwy.The speedometer JUST stopped working a few days before and we had an appointment to fix it the next week.Wes asked me if I thought we were at about the speed limit and I said yes..He should NOT have asked me.We were pulled over within minutes of us starting our journey.Yup,we got a $240 ticket and a warning to fix the speedometer..me and my big mouth told the officer it didnt work thats why we were speeding. She replied”You know I could ticket you for that too?”So we thought ourselves lucky!LOL!Merry flippin c-mas that day!

I earned a speeding ticket in the interstate in February (91 in a 70).

Went to traffic court a couple of weeks ago and they knocked the fine down to $82 dollars.

  14. nikki says:

Hmmm I don’t remember. I have only been pulled over 4 times, one for no tabs and 3 for my tint. It’s been at least a year or more. I don’t drive much though or it may be more!!

  15. Just a Mom says:

I got pulled over 10 years ago for not making a complete stop at a stop sign. I got off with a warning. To date I have never had a ticket or been in a wreck, Knock on wood!

  16. tessa says:

5 years ago. 20 years old. Stopped for being extremely, falling over intoxicated at OzzFest and put in a jail cell for the night 😉 Those were the days.

  17. tessa says:

Oh, put in jail for being uncooperative I might add. But for being pulled over, probably the same time.

  18. Sue says:

Last summer when they were putting the round about in the town I work. I went around the “Road Closed Ahead” sign (which BTW was 5 MILES from the construction sight so there was lots of places to turn off). The cop said too bad, the signs are here b/c there was too much traffic on the side roads. I wanted to say, oh so if I complain about traffic on my PUBLIC road I can get it closed too? I didn’t, I kept my mouth shut and was very polite and he let me go with a warning.
