Nope. Tried ’em decades ago, and they always died in no time flat, so that was that. Maybe they are better now, but oh well.
We use both. The rechargeable batteries come in handy. We use them on our camera equipment. We even have my mom using a recharger now! She loves it!
I haven’t tried them in years either. Like SKL, they wore out so fast back then. I think Luisa that your idea of for the camera and stuff is a good one. I’m going to pick a few up I think.
Yes you do Joy! There’s one in your camera silly!
I don’t mean those kind Sue. They only fit the camera. I mean the ones you buy like AA’s and stuff.
Yes, in my cameera and they’re wonderful. They do actually hold a charge a long time too!
That’s a special kind of camera…a cameera!! LOL (Dee da dee… note to self…spellcheck!)
I use them only for my camera.I charge before i need them..Then i no for sure they wont all of a sudden decide to die on me at a special occasion.
I tried them years ago, and they died like crazy. So I waited a buncha years, and tried them again, a few years ago, when Josh was a teeny, little guy. And they died like crazy.
I’m told that often, the D Cells only carry as much power as a AA cell – that the core is the same, only the casing is larger to fit into the space allotted. This is the experience that I had. I needed D Cells to run one of his toys, that he uses every night. I put the rechargeables in, and within four days, the toy was dying. I was changing and recharging those batteries ALL THE TIME. By comparison, I date the disposables that I put in there, and the average life is 3.5 months.
I’ll stick with my disposables, thanks.
No but that’s a good idea. By the way Joy I really Love your banner that is the cutest picture!!! Fantastic!
I too had horrible experiences with the kind you charge..
I used to until my recharger died
Not if I can help it. I’m very green but I draw the line at rechargeable batteries. In two words–they suck!!
Just in my digital camera and in the solar lights outside, but they just aren’t the same.
