Question of the day from Jenny

Right now, I’d probably go for my kids’ binder with all their legalities. Though I really should put that stuff in a safe deposit box after scanning it onto my computer. Then I could say I’d grab my computer, since it would contain so many things that would be unfortunate to lose. All my photos, a lot of personal documents, personal business transactions, work, contacts . . . . Scary thought! Once I switch over to the new one (no, I still haven’t done it), I should get busy with the scans and keep up a good system from there. And always keep a recent backup in some other safe place.
That’s hard!!!!! My first thought was my wedding ring and the second thought was my pictures. Not all my pictures are in one place though 😦 Some on the computer, some on the external hard drive, some in the kids’ boxes and some in the scrapbooking bag. I actually think about this question quite often!
We have a fire proof safe for all the important stuff so I think I would grab the computer. It has alot of family stuff on it.
I would say the external hard drive that has all the pics on it…which reminds me, I need to back my pictures up again!
My big box of pictures. I finally got most of the old ones all in the same box. I should put my hard drive in that box too! I’d probably forget it, otherwise.
I thought I knew the answer to it when I typed it up and got it ready. I was going to say my jewelry box. I even brought it downstairs and made room for it in Paul’s room. But now I’m thinking about all my pictures but sadly, mine are like Sue’s. I have a few “here” and “there” so I’m not sure which ones I’d grab. Now I’m thinking of my laptop and external hard drive too. For the main reason that if I really love a pic, it’s in there because for whatever reason I’ve already scanned it so it’s in the hard drive. Now this makes me think I should keep them all in one spot because I could replace almost everything else. I just have so many rings and I’d hate for them to all burn up or melt. Maybe I could dig a hole in the backyard for my jewels!!!!!
This question (and the fact that I knew I was going one-on-one with TSA a couple years ago) is why I subscribe to Carbonite. If my house burns down, my computer can go with it b/c my stuff is backed up offsite.
So, knowing that, I’d grab my flute. It’s been with me since 8th grade. Some things are irreplaceable.
The file with all the important papers.
